Created through Little Greene’s partnership with the National Trust, Storybook Papers reinterprets preserved fabrics, wooden games, mechanical toys and artwork by Beatrix Potter and Cecil Aldin for today’s homes.
Animal Kingdom
A lively gathering of elephants, ostriches, penguins, polar bears and other curious creatures gives Animal Kingdom its playful character. Inspired by a printed 1930s nursery fabric preserved at Tyntesfield, the design brings colour, movement and imagination to children’s rooms and family spaces.

Nip & Lassie
Nip & Lassie features Beatrix Potter’s charming sketches of her beloved working collies alongside the Herdwick sheep she raised in the Lake District. The light-hearted pattern is enhanced by softly flocked details that add gentle texture to the sheep.

Rodney Street transforms a pair of vintage mechanical apple-picking toys into a characterful, line-drawn pattern. Preserved at The Hardmans’ House in Liverpool, the original toys give this design its distinctive sense of movement, nostalgia and understated humour.

Inspired by small wooden balancing games found at Greys Court in Oxfordshire, Balance brings together four playful framed motifs. Original details—including the positions of the games’ tiny ball bearings and an unusually inverted rainbow—have been retained to preserve the charm of the historic objects.
